InfoQ copyright statement

• InfoQ does not agree to any third party reposting in its entirety any work such as but not limited to article/interview/news/presentation/mini-book that appears on InfoQ. We permit the posting of a summary and then a link back to the InfoQ landing page.
• InfoQ will remove any article if the author requests that InfoQ do so.
• As the holder of distribution rights, InfoQ is authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf to pursue copyright infringements from sites that are copying the content without our permission

We reserve the right to suspend profiles on InfoQ.com which:

• Advertise products / services / companies
• Contain potentially defamatory statements
• Are offensive
• Contain personal details such as phone numbers
• Contain unsuitable links
• Contain unsuitable pictures such as:
  • Avatars (personal or company)
  • Infographics
  • Company logos or advertising images

A user profile on InfoQ should contain:

• A person’s real name, not a nickname, alias, or company name
• The bio and professional title of a person not a description of a company or advertising for services
• The links should lead to your blog, personal profile, social or professional media pages etc.
• The photograph of a person - from the chest up; do not include other people in the photograph. We do not allow: sketches, cartoons, avatars of any kind (personal or company), logos of companies, promotional pictures or infographics. You also have the option not to upload any picture.

We currently are not able to offer profile pages for companies, as this falls under the advertising policy.

We reserve the right to block or remove the accounts of offenders.

We respect other people's rights, and expect you to do the same. InfoQ is dedicated to providing a harassment-free community for all readers, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate anywhere on the site and violating these rules will cause your account to be blocked.

Any form of offensive or harassing communication is not allowed on InfoQ. Please inform abuse@infoq.com if you feel a violation has taken place and the InfoQ team will address the situation.
